Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026
TL;DR — webcut does not upload your video. All editing happens inside your browser, and your files never leave your device. No accounts, no logins, no tracking.

1. Personal data we collect

webcut collects no personal data — no name, email, or phone number. There is no sign-up or login.

2. How your video & files are processed

Imported videos are never sent to a server. Cutting, joining, fades, subtitles and every other operation run entirely inside your browser via WebAssembly (FFmpeg.wasm). The exported result is generated in the browser and downloaded directly by you.

3. External requests

webcut downloads the following static assets from public CDNs once, only as needed to function. Your video and personal data are never sent during this.

CDN providers and the host (GitHub Pages) may record standard access logs such as IP addresses as part of normal web traffic. This is default behavior of third-party infrastructure that webcut does not control.

4. Cookies & analytics

webcut uses no cookies, ads, or analytics tools.

5. Sharing with third parties

Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to share or sell.

6. Changes

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page.
